Matt “Mook” McCormick

Matt McCormick has a Bachelors of Science in Communications from Ohio University, where he specialized in Audio Production.  Early in his audio career, he served as a recording engineer and producer at Buchanan Recording Complex in Cleveland, Ohio.  He has performed many roles in the audio and music world from designing high end custom home theaters to touring in indie rock bands as a guitar player and bass player.  He has played guitar and/or bass on four full length albums and numerous EP’s and singles.  Matt has been a performing artist at SXSW for the last three years (2017 – 2019). He also taught Jazz Band, Music Technology, Guitar and Rock Band for nine years at Badin High School in Hamilton Ohio. He specializes in composing electronic music intermingled with guitar and bass.  

 

 Elaina “Laney” McCormick

Elaina McCormick holds a Master of Music Education from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. She has performed with The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, The Queen City Sisters, The Tom Daugherty Orchestra, The Barry Campbell Big Band, and her own jazz combo, Laney and the Tramps. Elaina and her husband Matt taught Music at Badin High School in Hamilton, OH, where they created The Badin Rocks Ensemble, a 45 piece rock band.  Elaina has also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Sinclair Community College. Currently Elaina is the Director of Sacred Music at Our Lady of Victory Church in Delhi, Ohio. She has also started her own music licensing and composing company Scene Support Music Services . Elaina specializes in Vocals, Piano, Trumpet, Trombone, Organ, and Drum Kit, but can also compose and arrange for all instruments.
